Formula SAE is a student design competition that features the creation of a Formula-style race car.
In earlier years, I have worked as the team's treasurer where I managed a yearly budget of approximately $100,000. I also served as both the drivetrain lead and powertrain/aerodynamics lead for my sophomore and junior years, respectively.
During my senior year, as team president and captain, I led administrative and engineering task management to ensure we met our team deadlines for a well performing vehicle.
This year was the team's transition to an exclusively electric vehicle team after a 20+ year history in combustion engines. I am very, very happy to share that during our first EV competition we successfully passed all safety inspections and drove on the track at Michigan International Speedway. (This is a pretty rare feat for a first year team.)
I'm eager to see where Columbia University Formula Racing will go from here, and look forward to staying in touch as an alumnus.
